We are thrilled to share the highlights of our Third Ladies’ Golf Tournament held at the picturesque Magdalena Beach and Golf Resort, Tobago Plantations. This year’s tournament was a resounding success, filled with exciting moments, competitive spirit, and a sense of community.

The Event Kickoff

The day began with a warm welcome from Ultimate Experience TT, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day ahead. Participants arrived early, eager to engage in friendly competition and showcase their golfing skills. The serene surroundings of Tobago Plantations provided the perfect backdrop, enhancing the overall experience.

Categories and Competitions

Participants were divided into three categories: Junior groups, Newbies, and Experienced Golfers with handicaps. Each category witnessed intense yet friendly competition, with golfers demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship.

  • Junior Groups: The young golfers showed remarkable talent and determination, impressing everyone with their budding skills and enthusiasm.
  • Newbies: This category saw a mix of excitement and nervousness as new golfers took to the greens, all of them competing for the first time.
  • Experienced Golfers: This group featured seasoned golfers who brought a high level of expertise and competitiveness to the tournament.

Special Highlights

The winners of the women’s tournament were well-seasoned competitors. Helen Duncan topped the field with 39 points, followed by Jacqueline Crawford with 37 points and Emilie Ramsahai followed closely with 36 points. The winner of the beginner women’s tournament was Tamara Cowie, followed by Mai Ferguson, Sherla McKenzie and Carlistra Groden.

The juniors tournament had three, six and nine-hole categories. The respective winners were Janeyah Woods, Milan Pilgrim and Kiayah Marson

One of the standout moments of the day was the longest drive competition, which saw participants pushing their limits and showcasing their power and precision. The Closest to the Pin challenge also drew significant attention, with several close attempts adding to the excitement.

Camaraderie and Networking

Beyond the competition, the tournament provided a wonderful opportunity for participants to connect with like-minded individuals. The camaraderie among golfers was palpable, with many forming new friendships and professional connections.

Prize Distribution

The event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony. Winners in each category were awarded trophies, hampers, gift bags and sponsors merchandise. The joy and pride on the winners’ faces were evident as they accepted their prizes, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

The success of this year’s tournament has set a high standard for future events. Ultimate Experience TT is committed to continuing this tradition, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for women golfers.
